As social workers Green University law students always aspire to promote humanitarian works in its different forms and shapes. Recently, Green University Law Club (GULC) has undertaken a Humanitarian initiative in the form of warm clothes distribution to the poor people at Tongi, one of the suburbs of Dhaka city. The clothes were initially collected from the students and staffs of Green University University. The programme was led by Mr. Md. Abbas Uddin, Deputy Moderator of GULC. Besides, Md. Zillur Rahman, President, Md. Rajibul Islam, General Secretary and Md. Jaber Mahedi, Joint Secretary of GULC were also present in the programme amongst others. At the end of the clothes distribution, Mr. Abbas who is also a lecturer in the Department of Law delivered a short speech putting emphasis on humanitarian works. He reminded the students and others who were present on the occasion that as human being everyone has at least three duties: duty towards the Almighty God, parents & family and to the society. Finally, he formally concluded the programme giving thanks to the students and flag bearers of GULC and expected that such sort of initiative will be strengthened in the days to come.
